New York Vantage is committed to journalism and content practices that our readers can trust. This page explains the standards we hold ourselves to, and how we handle the parts of our business — sponsored content, contributor submissions, syndication — that require extra transparency.
Our Commitment to Readers
We aim to publish content that is accurate, fair, and clearly sourced. Where we fall short, we correct the record — see our Editorial Process & Selection Criteria page for how corrections work.
Independence and Disclosure
New York Vantage publishes a mix of staff-written editorial content, contributed articles from outside writers and industry professionals, and sponsored or partner content. We believe readers deserve to know which is which:
- Staff and contributor editorial content reflects the independent reporting or opinion of the named author and is not paid placement.
- Sponsored, partner, or branded content is always labeled as such, clearly and above the headline, regardless of the commercial relationship behind it. We do not disguise paid content as independent editorial.
- Any material financial relationship relevant to a piece of coverage is disclosed within the article itself.
Conflicts of Interest
Contributors and staff are expected to disclose any financial, personal, or professional relationship with the subject of an article before it is assigned or published. Where a conflict cannot be adequately disclosed or managed, we decline to run the piece.
Accuracy and Sourcing
- Claims of fact are checked against available public records, named sources, or the contributor’s disclosed sourcing before publication.
- We do not knowingly publish fabricated quotes, misattributed statements, or fictional events presented as fact.
- Anonymous sourcing is used sparingly and only where a named source would face genuine risk; editorial staff independently verify anonymous claims where possible.
What We Won’t Publish
New York Vantage declines content that:
- Promotes hate speech, discrimination, or incitement to violence
- Constitutes market manipulation, undisclosed financial promotion, or investment advice presented as news
- Involves coordinated inauthentic engagement, fake reviews, or manufactured social proof
- Infringes on the intellectual property or privacy rights of others
- Is knowingly false or materially misleading
